Day 60 - Eighty Mile Beach

Kate:  As much as we have loved Broome and stopping for a bit of luxury, I think Steve and I were secrectly looking forward to getting back on the road again.  Steve especially, because this last section down the west coast is the only part of the whole trip, Steve has not been to before.

The scenery from Broome to Eighty Mile Beach was lots of nothing!!  Really flat, wind blown coastal expanses with the odd cow or two.  We finally turned off the highway through a private station, to Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park.  Situated right on the beach (well just nestled behind the sand dunes), it was a pretty spectacular place to stop for the night.  It reminded me of Victoria's 90 Mile Beach near the Prom.  Wide and vast.

Heaps and heaps of really cool shells kept everyone busy (except Steve who sat back enjoying his evening sunset cold one).

Eighty Mile Beach
Guess who.....!
